Student apartment to let Selly Oak - AVAILABLE JULY 2019
No admin fees.
Available as a summer let.
Optimally situated, near the University of Birmingham and in the student village of Selly Oak.
This refurbished, modern student studio on Bournbrook Road is situated on the first floor and is very near the University. At the heart of the apartment there is a comfortable bedroom with a wardrobe, some storage and a free tv provided by Unihousing: the perfect place to rest at the end of a day's study! Coming out of the bedroom you find a study area with a desk to ease your work when not at university, a dining area to enjoy your meals in comfort, and a well equipped kitchenette. Here you have a sink, fridge/freezer, washing machine, hobs and a microwave oven, as well as storage for your food: everything a student needs to eat well within a budget, or even cook for friends. A private shower room with toilet completes the accommodation in style ensuring you can enjoy ease of living far beyond the levels of shared student accommodation.
Communal areas (stairs and landing) are looked after by Unihousing staff, and with laminated flooring throughout the property, your own cleaning couldn't be easier. The property also enjoys double glazing and complete heating with bills for utilities and internet paid for at no extra cost, ensuring your peace and comfort throughout the year. As it comes fully furnished and even with a tv provided, it is completely ready for you on your very first day here.
Bournbrook Road is in the highly sought after student area of Selly Oak. Whilst it is ideally placed for the University of Birmingham campus, it also has the benefit of putting the shops and services of Selly Oak at your fingertips. There are two very large supermarkets within easy reach for all your necessities, without blowing your budget. Having both Aldi and Sainsbury's to hand should offer plenty of variety for most tastes! If after a long day studying you need a more relaxed evening, the handy Paprika Grill offers a great place to eat out with friends, or the Dolphin Fish Bar and Dilshad Indian Takeaway provide good options for an easy meal without the effort of cooking for yourself. The nearby S'Oak also offers a convivial environment to catch up over a drink or some pub food. There's even a Card Factory close at hand to help you keep in touch with those you love.
Selly Oak village has catered well for students for years, and has plenty of other options for eating and drinking out, takeaways, or shopping for your needs. As well as the night-life and activity of the area, there are plenty of places to unwind in peace or get some healthy exercise. A couple of large parks lie within a very easy walk and the brand new University gym and the rest of the campus grounds are, of course, readily accessible too. Other green sites of interest include the historic and beautiful Winderbourne gardens, on the edge of the campus, and the popular Cannon Hill Park a little further away - but still within walking distance (and on a very handy bus route too).
Of course, being in a large city like Birmingham means you always have something to do if you want to get out of Selly Oak. Buses run through the heart of the village giving reliable and frequent access to other parts of the city and Selly Oak even has a rail station. An off-peak day-return rail ticket will give you access to the city centre for only £2.70 arriving right into the heart of the new Grand Central shopping centre. With the Bullring next door, you have all sorts of options for a day out in the city. Birmingham's night-life is naturally something most students will want to check out, and is unlikely to disappoint. If you prefer a different kind of culture, try Symphony Hall, the Birmingham Arena or NEC: all world-class venues for musical and sporting events. Edgbaston cricket ground is even closer than the city centre and very easily accessible if that's more to your liking. There are so many options!
This is a must-see property.
