Being in the heart of Selly Oak village, you’re never short of options for shopping with large and small supermarkets for the budget-conscious student, and even speciality shops for foods less traditionally available in Britain. With a thriving student community, the village is well equipped with restaurants, bars and pubs, as well as a couple of parks where you can enjoy fresh air and exercise or just take in the sun in the summer!
When Selly Oak doesn’t quite fit your needs, Birmingham City Centre is sure to have what you’re looking for. Attractions like the Sea Life Centre, Bullring and Grand Central shopping centres in addition to an exciting night-life make Birmingham a great place to be. Major shows and exhibitions frequently come to the NEC, Arena and Hippodrome, whilst venues like the Midlands Art Centre and Barber Institute satisfy more niche interests.
This is a fantastic location for getting around. The University of Birmingham is, of course, just a short walk but when you want to go further a frequent bus service runs through the heart of Selly Oak into the city centre. The convenient Selly Oak railway station also serves the city with cheap and regular transport – access to the centre of Birmingham typically costs around £2.60 for a single, or £2.70 for an off-peak day return and bus fares are similar.
This is a superb accomodation for any student. Call now to arrange a viewing!
