Grammarly
At university, SPAG is everything, so having an extra helper when you write is extremely helpful! Grammarly uses AU to read everything that you have written and checks it for spelling, punctuation and grammar. This app is also available on the desktop as an app or a web browser extension so it can go everywhere you go.
ElevenLabs Reader
Reading is key at university, but if you are a better listener, you may feel like you are lost. This app is here to change that as it can almost turn any text, whether it’s a webpage, PDF or an ebook into listenable audio. You can select from different narrators who are loud and clear with their words, making reading large text a breeze!
Google Docs
Google Docs comes with all the precious tools you need to write every essay. This app allows you to download files in various different formats, collaborate with classmates on pieces of work and best of all it can be accessed everywhere. So, no matter where you are you can always add a little extra to your assignments.
Clear
As you settle into university you may feel like you are scrambling around trying to stay organised and on top of work. Clear allows you to make to-do lists and gives you reminders on tasks so that you don’t forget. Clear has a minimalist design and colour coded to keep you on track and not distracted.
Forest
Do you spend too much time on your phone or struggle to pull away while you are studying? Forest provides a graphical representation of your focus. The app will slowly grow a tree as you leave your phone down, but as soon as you touch it, the tree dies. This will remind you that you have lost focus and hopefully allow you to stay on track.
UpNote
If you haven’t been on top of organising, your lecture notes can very quickly end up becoming a mess. However, UpNote is here to help you. You can create different notebooks for each topic, add pictures and tables to notes and highlight important sections that you definitely need to remember! Even better, you can export your notes to be used elsewhere.
Zotero
Leaving your bibliography until you have finished your essay is a quick way to confusion and extra time spent trying to chase down sources. With Zotero, this task is made much easier by scanning the barcode for your books using your phone, it can generate the bibliography for you, ready for your submission.
